They will not go to a blue screen, or into sleep mode, even if the video signal becomes weak or lost. They will operate in direct bright sunlight, or in other high ambient-light conditions. They utilize state-of-the-art LED backlights to produce over 1,000 nits of brightness (vs. 250-300 nits for standard monitors). This results in amazingly bright, crystal-clear images, even with direct, bright sunlight on the face of the screen. SRM-10.4B-WRL Sunlight Readable monitors eliminate the need for sun-shields, squinting or straining to see washed-out images. With wireless systems, the video signal strength may vary, and drop substantially, by the time it reaches the wireless receiver or ground station. Standard video monitors then go into sleep mode, or a blue screen. Unfortunately, this temporary “blindness” to the operator could come at a very critical time. The SRM-10.4B-WRL will not go into sleep mode. The video screen may exhibit some static, but it will continue to generate a video signal.
