Innovation is a precursor to invention.

Applied Vision Products (AVP) is pleased to announce the production of their new battery-operated camera controller (AVP-Controller-BAT).

Different and/or better ...  and when it comes to camera controllers, this is definitely BETTER!  AVP's newest innovation represents the first battery-operated controller to come about! Compatible with all Sony EVI, FCB and Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) cameras via an RS232/Visca cable, the controller is also well matched with Cannon PTZ (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) cameras, and Sentech block cameras, and has the capability of going close to 200 feet in cable length with RS232 or 1200 feet with RS485. The hand-held, portable battery camera controller utilizes 4 AAA Lithium Ion batteries (included), and has a continuous use run time of 7 to 8 hours.  Alkaline batteries are not recommended, as they decrease the run time by almost half.  A plug is provided for a through wall power supply, identical to previous controllers.  Utilizing the same programmable buttons as non-battery controllers, a back allowance has been made for the battery pack.  A rechargeable controller model is an available option, and can be manufactured for an additional $75.00.  A new sleep-timer feature, which resets itself after 25 minutes of inactivity, results in battery savings for the controller.

Ruggedized for use in harsh environments, the flexible, configurable controller includes the ability to program and control multiple camera functions. With the ability to be daisy chained, the controller can connect up to 8 cameras at once to the remote.  Small in size (4-1/2” x 4-1/2”), and easy to operate, this AVP controller is suitable for inspection, security, broadcast, traffic and IP monitoring - any application where space and control capability are issues. The Sony FCB-H11 (FCBH11) high-definition, color block camera is the ideal partner for this new battery operated controller.

SONY FCB-H11 HD CAMERA SYSTEM

High Definition Camera, Housing, Interface Board

The  Sony FCB-H11 (FCBH11) camera incorporates a 1/3” type HD CMOS image sensor with a 16:9 aspect ratio, providing high-quality imaging, enhanced by the inclusion of 120x optical zoom (10x zoom/12x digital). The FCB-H11 camera offers 1080i and 720p signals, and features multi-format video outputs, satisfying user needs for high-definition (HD) and (SD) applications. A diminutive size, the FCB-H11 (FCBH11) camera can be used in inspection, video conferencing, cable TV broadcasting, and point of view applications where space is a consideration. With the incorporation of a Day/Night function, application possibilities have been expanded by enabling the camera to capture high quality color images during the day, and clear, black-and-white images at night, vital for parking lot and retail store applications.

FCB-H11 (FDCH11) Housing, Boards and Assemblies

This high definition camera is available in both housed and un-housed configurations.  The un-housed Sony FCB-H11 (FCBH11) is a mere 1-7/8” x 1-3/4” x 2-7/8” in size, and weighs only 4.2 ounces.  The housed camera alternative is only slightly larger at 2-1/3” x 1-2/3” x 3-1/4”, and 5.2 ounces in weight, and is completely functional in traditional to harsh environments.  Modifications for waterproofing or shock-resistance can be made to the housed configurations as required. Interface Boards for the FCB-H11 (FBCH11) are available in both high-definition (IFBEX-232-HD), and standard definition (IFBE232-SDI), allowing remote communication to the camera head, and a RS232 (choice of SDI or HD) output. Additional controller program configurations are available, designed to meet each specific needs. Block Camera assemblies are also available (with the ability to be customized) for the of Sony FCB-H11 (FCBH11) camera.  The assemblies include analog zoom camera (10Z, 18X or 26X); customizable housing, interface board/outputs and cable lengths, and configurable hand-held camera controller.
