Sony's new EVI D70 pan, tilt, zoom color video camera
combines a high quality 1/4 type EXview HAD CCD
camera with the flexibility of a remote
pan, tilt, zoom operation, all in one easy-to-use
package. Compared to its predecessor, the EVI-D70
incorporates a wider pan/tilt range with an 18x
optical zoom lens and a faster and smoother pan/tilt
mechanism, making it ideal for video conferncing, distance learning,
house of worship, courtrooms, events and concert
halls and just about any remote shooting application.
Sony continues to
add choice and flexibility to its industry-leading
ptz camera lineup with the introduction
of the Sony EVI-D70 and EVI-D70P cameras.
The EVID70 and EVID70P combine a highquality
color video camera with the flexibility of remote
ptz operation, all in a compact easy-to-use
package. Incorporating an 18x optical zoom lens,
these cameras allow a user to zoom in on a small
or distant object with exceptional clarity. Above all, these
cameras are ceiling mountable - a first for Sony's
popular EVI cameras. The EVID70 and EVID70P are
also equipped with a variety of convenient features
such as an Auto ICR function, Alarm function and
RS-232C/422 serial control, making them ideal
for remote-shooting applications.

Sony EVI-D70 (EVID70) PTZ camera is perfect for church installation applications. This church camera offers 18X zoom and is capable of daisy chaining 4 cameras together. This is a perfect church system for recording services for rebroadcast or for remote viewing (nursery viewing of services), recording baptisms, first communions, and weddings.
The EVI-D70 has PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) capability and is fully operational with the RMBR300 (joystick remote controller) via RS232. Any sanctuary video system can be broadcast inside or outside offering a closed circuit video system.
The EVID70 list price is $1220.00 and is the best buy for an 18x camera. This color PTZ camera is offered in black or white (white matches acoustic ceiling tiles and it can also be mounted upside down). There are also outdoor camera housings available (EVI-FDP8C3, EVI-RDP7).
