Pleora’s iPORT™ SB-Pro Interface Boards (External Frame Grabbers) allows Sony HD block cameras to function as GigE Vision® cameras. With the iPORT SB-Pro frame grabber, Sony high definition block cameras can go the distance that Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) offers of up to 100 meters for both video and control signals. The cameras can also be used with a broader selection of computing platforms (Windows and Linux), lowering system costs. This greatly extends the applications where a Sony block camera can be used. Pleora also offers eBUS their SDK that interfaces with the Sony VISCA protocol with a user-friendly graphic interface (GUI) for easy interface between SB-Pro and the Sony block cameras with your software. eBUS is a system designers dream offering the ability to rapidly prototype.
Pleora's SB-Pro offers full-resolution at 30 fps with low latency. The connection is easy with standard CAT5e/6 cabling with distances of 100 meters and unlimited expansion with off-the-shelf Ethernet switches. SB-Pro is a designer’s choice with standard GigE connection allowing cost reduction using small form factors, such as laptops, embedded PCs and single board computers as opposed to desktop units.
