The second new series, the XCG-CG, has four cameras, the XCG-CG240 (black and white) and the XCG240c (color), are 2.4M GigE® Vision cameras, while the XCG-CG510 (black and white) and XCG-CG510C (color) are 5.1M GigE® Vision cameras. The new XCG-C series of compact cameras include a PoE capability, allowing users the ease of single-cable operation for power and control. Sharing advanced features, these small cameras offer enhanced frame rate performance with lower power consumption, hardware and software triggers, and shorter trigger latency capability. They have a 6-pin connector (supports DC 12 V), sensitivity control and temperature read out, special trigger modes (bulk trigger and sequential trigger) and trigger range control (noise reduction). They are vibration resistant to 10G and shock resistant to 70G like their XCG-CG new family members. However, they have new support functions of GigE Vision: Extended ID 64-bit (GigE Vision 2.0) which increases the numbering of captured images; chunk data for metadata transfer; event reporting that transfers information on triggers and flow control to control data transfer. The XCG-C130 (black and white) and XCG-C130C (color) cameras have 1/3-type progressive scan (Exview HAD CCD) image sensors, the XCG-C30 and XCG-C30C models have 1/3-type progressive scan IT CCD image sensor; and the XCG-C32 and XCG-C32C have ½- type progressive scan IT CCD image sensors. Frame rates differ, with the XCG-C130 and XCG-C130C having 31 frames per second, the XCG-C132 and XCG-132C have 104 frames per second (Non-PoE), and the XCG-C30 and XCG-C30C with 130 frames per second (Non-PoE). Image sensors pixels vary from 1,296 x 966 for the XCG-C130 and XCG-C130C to 659 x 494 for the XCG-C32 and XCG-C32C, and 659 x 494 for the XCG-C30 and XCG-C30C cameras. The XCG-CG series brings four new high-quality and high-resolution GigE Vision® cameras to the preeminent Sony camera series: XCG-CG240 (B/W), XCG-CG240C (color) and XCG-CG510 (B/W), and XCG-CG510C (color). Integrating Sony’s CMOS image sensor technology with distortion-free global shuttering (IMX249 2.4 megapixel sensor), and these cameras have the ability to acquire precise, high-speed moving images. Adding several exceptional image processing features (area gain, defect pixel correction, and shading correction), make them ideal for accurately depicting high-speed moving images in Industrial Vision, as well as non-manufacturing vision markets. They share such features as an external trigger and software trigger, and special trigger modes of bulk trigger and sequential trigger. Features continue with partial scan, Look Up Table (LUT), SDK OS support: Windows / Linux, and short latency. The XCG-CG240 (black and white and color model) brings with it 2.4M GigE Vision®, 1/1.2-type CMOS image sensors combined with a global shutter function (PREGIUS), 1,936 (H) x 1,216 (V) effective pixel resolution, and a cell size of 5.86 μm x 5.86 μm. By merging the very latest Pregius high sensitivity technology, maximum visibility in challenging lighting environments and a high frame rate of 41 frames per second, optimum camera performance is the perfect result. The XCG-CG240 supports GigE Vision 1.2/2.0 with a one cable PoE capability, Gigabit Ethernet with PoE, and has advanced image processing with defect pixel correction and shading correcting for flawless imaging. XCG-CG510 (B/W), and XCG-CG510C (color) cameras have 2/3-type CMOS image sensors united with a global shutter function (PREGIUS). Their 2,464 (H) x 2,056 (V) pixel resolution, and 3.45 μm x 3.45 μm cell size, and have a frame rate of 23 frames per second. The XCG-CG510 (B/W) has the minimum illumination at 50% as their black and white counterpart, the XCG-CG240, which is 0.5 lx, and keeping consistent with the series, the XCG-CG510C (color) camera duplicates the XCG-CG240C (color camera with a minimum illumination of 10 lx. Shutter speeds differ, in that the XCG-CG510 models have a speed of 1/23 seconds, and the XCG-CG240 have a 1/30 seconds. Both the XCG-CG240C and XCG-CG510C models have manual, one push, and automatic white balance. A small, compact size of 1 3/16 x 1 3/16 x 1 11/16 inches (excluding protrusions), and weighing a mere 2.3 ounces, allow these cameras to be effortlessly integrated into multiple space-restricted environments. And with their high shock (to 70G) and vibration resistant (to 10G) body and C-mount ability, they can hold their own where stability is an issue. Sony, ever maintaining their ability to revolutionize the industrial vision industry, introduces these two stunning new camera series collections, the XCG-C and XCH-CG. The high quality, high resolution XCG-CG and XCG-C digital video camera module are now available from Aegis Electronic Group, Inc., and are ready for immediate application.
