The FCB-IV7315  camera will allow non-security applications the advancement they have been looking for.

FCB-IV7315, Sony Corporation’s new Full High Definition (FHD), color block camera will arrive soon, and while joining their impressive FCB series, this is the premier model in the FCB-IV category. Featuring a high-performance 1/2.8-type Exmor™ CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) image sensor with 1080p resolution, it attains brilliant FHD (1920 x 1080) picture excellence (2.14 million effective pixels), even in lowlight surroundings. Equipped with OLPF (Optical Low Pass Filter), it delivers exceptionally clear images, particularly useful for applications demanding close distance scrutiny. With OLPF, the troublesome moiré effect which shows up when recording artificial patterns or documents (scanning) close-up, is substantially reduced. This, coupled with its 20x optical zoom lens, F1.6 aperture, and the user has a camera which is distinctively beneficial for low vision systems, as well as non-security applications. With multiple picture effects, E-Flip, Nega Art, Black & White, mirror image, color enhancement, and a five-level noise reduction (2D and 3D). With its 16 step aperture control, the position preset allows for 16 camera shooting positions to be stored and recalled. Well appointed, the FCB-IV7315 will avail itself as an active member in the FCB family. Low-light circumstances need cameras that are able to record in the available, and existing amount of illumination. The FCB-IV7315 is able to see in a minimum illumination of 50%, with a high sensitivity mode color of 0.1 lx (F1.6, AGC on, 1/30 s), while normal mode color is 0.4 lx (F1.6, AGC on, 1/30 s). Horizontal viewing angle in 1080p mode for this camera is 59.5° (wide end) to 3.3° (tele end), in 720p mode is 59.5° (wide end) to 3.3° (tele end), and in SD (Standard Definition) is 44.6° (wide end) to 2.5° (tele end). An extremely small minimum object distance for the FCB-IV7315 is 10 mm (.393 inches) on the optical wide end, to 1,000 mm on the optical telephoto end (39.37 inches), with the default set 300 mm (11.81 inches), and is independent of the digital zoom. With the Auto Focus (AF), focus position is automatically adjusted to take full advantage of the high frequency content of the picture (center measurement), with regard to the high luminance and strong contrast factors. With both a manual and standard focus mode, the standard mode focuses at a fixed rate of speed, while the variable mode has eight speed modes. Its six step noise reduction function (levels 1 to 5, plus off) removes both random and non-random noise, supporting clearer images. Thanks to the Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) image processor, clear, detailed images are produced in high-contrast or backlit circumstances. The FBC-IV7315 supports this unusually wide 130 dB dynamic range, which is activated by VISCA (CMOS 5 V level) command. With its straightforward, one cable integration carrying high definition video signals, in addition to VISCA protocol communication and power supply, flexible integration is additionally maintained by 30-pin micro coaxial (digital output) and 24-pin FFC (analog output) interfaces. Despite the fact that the power is off, the camera maintains the ability to accept VISCA commands, even though the screen is set non-displayed. This HD block camera is comparable to the FCB-EV7100 in many ways, however, the FCB-IV7310’s optical zoom capability is 240x, double that of the FCB-EV7100. And lenses differ as well, in that the FCB-VI7100 is 20x optical zoom f = 4.7 mm (wide) to 94 mm (tele) F1.6 to F3.5, while the FCB-EV7100 is 10x optical zoom f = 3.8 mm (wide) to 38 mm (tele) F1.8 to F3.4. Small in size at 50.0 x 60.0 x 87.9 mm (2 x 2 3/8 x 3 1/2 inches), and weighing 270 g (9.6 ounces), it is just a bit larger than the FCB-EV7100, at 45.6 x 48.8 x 78.0 mm (1 13/16 x 1 15/16 x 3 1/8 inches), and weighs 2.2 ounces more. Sony continues to upgrade their exciting camera collections, and with the imminent release of this new FCB-IV7315 full HD non-security module, increased success in matching camera with application is at your fingertips. Available from Aegis Electronic Group, Inc. upon release, this FHD high image quality camera will be the answer to document scanning and close-distance recording.
