Sony FCB-EV block cameras family has just enlarged by six:

the FCB-EV7500, FCB-EV7520, FCB-EV7300, FCB-EV7320, FCB-EV7310 and the FCB-EV5500.

While continuing to expand its product line, Sony maintains their elevated capacity of delivering high quality, high resolution imaging cameras. The introduction of these new Sony FCB-EV block cameras  continue to enhance their already brilliant camera series.

Two new highly-sensitive, high quality cameras, the FCB-EV7520 and FCB-EV7320 incorporate Sony’s Exmor R™ STARVIS™ technology, cameras. The STARVIS expertise is back-illuminated pixel technology used in CMOS image sensors for surveillance camera applications for lower light environments. By increasing efficiency and decreasing noise, sensitivity and dynamic range are improved. These two Full High Definition (FHD) cameras produce sharp, high-quality, color images at CMOS speeds from an ultra-compact size. Additionally, incorporating Sony's Exmor™ R STARVIS™ technology, allows them to achieve high picture quality in visible light and near-infrared light. All other new camera models in this series are High Definition (HD), with FCB-EV7310 and FCB-EV5500 utilizing Sony's Exmor™ CMOS image sensor, and models FCB-EV7500 and FCB-EV7300 employing Sony’s CMOS imaging sensor. These new additions to the world-renowned Sony FCB Block cameras share numerous FCB-EV family qualities: Sony's Exmor™ CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) image sensors and high-performance optical zoom lenses up to 30x, Wide-D (Wide Dynamic Range) aiding in clear, detailed images in high-contrast or backlit environments, Auto-ICR, (Intelligent Character Recognition), High Light Compensation (HLC), Spherical Privacy Zone Masking, Image Stabilizer, StableZoom, Defog, noise reduction and slow AE response. All of these cameras have digital LVDS (Low-Voltage Differential Signaling) interface, preserving the quality of the camera's video signal, and reducing signal loss. Moreover, all of these cameras share VBS (a composite video format with Video, Blank, and Sync signals) Standard Definition (SD) video output. Video outputs for the Sony FCB-EV block cameras range from Digital and Analog for the FCB-EV7500, FCB-EV7300, and FCB-EV 5500, to singularly digital for the FCB-EV7520, FCB-EV7320 and FCB-EV7310. Cameras FCB-EV7500, FCB-EV7300 and FCB-EV5500 with low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) drivers and receivers offer designers’ robust, high speed signaling, single-ended to differential solutions for point-to-point applications, while maintaining the quality of the camera's video signal, and minimizing signal loss. The FCB-EV-7500 and FCB-EV7520 and FCB-EV5500 achieve unprecedented levels of sensitivity with their 30x optical zoom lens and 12x digital zoom (360x with optical lens). The high quality lens provides a bright F1.6 to F4.7 maximum aperture and fast zoom operation of f = 4.3 mm (wide) to 129.0 mm (tele). This is ideal for smooth, rapid transitions from wide area coverage to detailed close-ups in security and surveillance applications. The FCB-EV7300, FCB-EV7320, and FCB-EV7310 all have 20x optical zoom lenses, 12x digital zoom (240x with optical zoom), F1.6 to F3.5 aperture and zoom of f = 4.7 mm (wide) to 94.0 mm (tele). The FCBEV7310, FCB-EV7520, and FCB-EV7320 offer a more stripped down version without WDR and image stabilization. These block cameras vary only slightly in weight, with the heaviest being the FCB-EV7300 and FCB-EV7310 at 9.6 ounces (270g), and a mere 2 x 2 3/8 x 3 1/2 inches (50 x 60 x 87.9 mm) in size. The lightest weighing 9 ounces (255g), is the FCB-EV7520 and varying in size just an eighth of an inch at 2 x 2 3/8 x 3 5/8 inches (50 x 60 x 89.7 mm). Multiple accessories work with the new Sony FCB-EV block cameras: desktop camera controller, cables, lens adapter, enabling the user to add lenses, wide angle lenses, filters and doublers. Universal Housings can be customized for user outputs. Handheld controller can be configured for each application’s needs. Applications for these Sony FCB-EV block cameras of color block cameras are numerous thanks to their ability to produce high quality, high resolution images. Assisting in inspection, security monitoring, remote monitoring, and UAV’s (Unmanned Autonomous Vehicles), they also excel in surveillance, intelligent traffic systems (ITS), medical and machine vision applications. Video conferencing and boarder security also benefit from these small cameras, and recent technological expansions have also used these cameras in robot applications. These new Sony FCB-EV block cameras are now available from Aegis Electronic Group, Inc.
